Maintenance within the European network
The partnership encompasses our European network of more than 650 partner garages. According to Marie Braouzec, Director of Automotive Europe at TotalEnergies Lubricants, the renewal confirms the success of the partnership. According to Braouzec, the combination of the lubricant range and the workshops meets the performance and reliability requirements of commercial vehicle operators.
Lubricant costs are also part of the The profitability of a garage such as working hours and the use of materials.
Lubricants for everyday commercial vehicle use
TotalEnergies Lubricants is bringing its Rubia range for heavy commercial vehicles to the partnership. The agreed range includes engine oils, gear oils, greases and coolants, as well as used oil analysis services.
When changing the oil, the manufacturer’s specified approval for the vehicle or engine remains crucial. TotalEnergies holds the most manufacturer approvals on the market. The viscosity grade alone is not sufficient for selecting an engine oil. You should therefore check the product data sheet and the manufacturer’s specifications before assigning a drum to a vehicle. In mixed fleets, similar vehicles may have different lubricant requirements.
Rubia and Rubia EV3R
The Rubia EV3R range is also one of the product solutions mentioned in the agreement. TotalEnergies Lubricants links this range to the circular economy approach. The aim is to reduce the carbon footprint on the customer’s side.
In the Oil analysis and the selection of sustainable lubricants Product characteristics and technical suitability go hand in hand. When advising your customers, you should therefore record the specific product and its approvals. A clear record of this information will also be helpful during the next workshop visit and should the fleet operator have any queries.
In the warehouse, clear labelling makes it easier to identify drums and filling equipment. Separate, clean containers help to prevent mix-ups and contamination during filling.
Used oil analysis with LubANAC
LubANAC is TotalEnergies’ used oil analysis service, offered as part of our partnership. It involves analysing oil that has already been in use to identify its condition and any potential anomalies. When assessed alongside vehicle data, operating conditions and maintenance history, the results can help garages and fleet operators make informed maintenance decisions.
According to Stephan Brunstein, Head of Heavy Duty at TotalEnergies Lubricants, the extension of the partnership enables closer collaboration with partner garages. The range of services includes tailored solutions such as LubANAC. According to Brunstein, these are designed to help reduce the total cost of ownership and downtime for fleet vehicles.
Sampling and findings
In order to obtain a usable result, the laboratory requires a sample that has been taken correctly and can be clearly identified. Please note down the vehicle, engine, oil type, mileage and the time the sample was taken. Any oil top-ups may also be important for the subsequent evaluation of the result.
An oil sample can, for example, provide indications of wear, contamination or changes in the oil. You should consider individual readings in conjunction with the operating profile and previous findings. Repeated tests under comparable conditions make it easier to assess changes over the course of the oil’s service life.
Technical support and training
TotalEnergies Lubricants will continue to support our Alltrucks partners with technical expertise and training programmes. This includes on-site technical support.
For technical enquiries, please provide the product name, vehicle details and operating conditions as comprehensively as possible. If the oil condition appears abnormal, the maintenance history and any available analysis reports will also be helpful.
Knowledge for your workshop team
The agreed training courses cover lubricants and their use in the commercial vehicle sector. They complement our Alltrucks training programmes on this topic. Please designate someone within your organisation to collect questions regarding oil approvals and pass on the knowledge gained from the training.
A documented finding also supports the work between maintenance and Repair and Diagnosis. When doing so, ensure you distinguish between the observation, the measurement result and the agreed action in the work order. This will enable the next colleague to see which checks have already been carried out.
Joint activities and incentives
We are also continuing our collaboration at trade fairs, regional events such as our Alltrucks Partner Events and the Transport Day 2026 in Italy and digital communication. Joint marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns are also part of the extended agreement.
At these meetings, you can raise specific questions relating to your business. These may include choosing the right oil grade or assessing the results of an analysis. Please bring the relevant vehicle and product details with you to the meeting.
Incentive scheme: The agreement includes a structured incentive scheme. It is linked both to the growth of our network and to the volumes of lubricants.
Benefits for your maintenance work
Who Reduce workshop costs should, in addition to the materials, also record search times and enquiries. Clear product allocation and comprehensive documentation help to ensure a smooth oil-change process.
The same applies to the objective, To improve lead times, includes the preparations to be made before the vehicle appointment. Please check the required consumables and resolve any outstanding technical issues before work begins, if possible. A scheduled oil test can then be included in the order.
Through this extended partnership, we are bringing together our product range, used oil analysis and technical support. Our partner workshops thus receive support with lubricant selection, maintenance decisions and the training of their teams.
